Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Dear lifters, dear officials,
One more year comes to an end and we have made great progress in the IPF.
All the progress we have achieved is because of our team-work within the IPF commissions, media team and EC members.
Therefore I take this opportunity to thank you all because without this volunteer work from the bottom to the top, our progress would not be possible.
A lot of volunteers work hard in the IPF like this because of their love of the sport and they do it from their heart.
They often spend more time with our sport than with their families and this needs to be acknowledged and respected.
So I want to thank to each and every one of you for your contribution to our sport.
It has been a busy year for all of us but now it is time to share the Christmas days with our families.
I extend my great thanks to all the family members of our volunteers, we could not achieve what we have without the support and understanding of our families!
Sincere thanks goes to all of our sponsors who give us the support to reach our main goal, the IOC recognition.
This year we had Mr. Christian Wassmer from the IOC Sports department visit us in Salo, Finland for two days.
We are now very optimistic to reach our goal in 2016.
We take this time also to reflect on the friends we lost this year and also those we lost in the past years.
They are still in our hearts and we will not forget them.
On behalf of the IPF and my colleagues from the EC we wish you all a Merry Christmas, a happy New Year, and good health and happiness for 2016.
We hope all your goals for 2016 come true.
Best regards, Gaston
